RingTones last news: Crazy Frog at the top of UK singles chart
Crazy Frog is an animation created by Jamba (trading under names such
as Jamster, RingtoneKing), a mobile phone content distributor. The video
clip was at first produced to accompany a sound effect while trying to
imitate the sound of a two-stroke moped engine. In 2004 Jamba distributed
the animation and sound as a mobile phone ringtone, the release of the
ringtone was accompanied with a barrage of television, internet, radio
and print advertising making the frog's music and video the most successful
ringtone in the United Kingdom. The frog animation replaced Rhino and
Rat as Jamba!'s mascot.
Attempting to repeat the Frog's success, Jamba! commissioned new animal
ringtones, Sweety the Chick and Nessy the Dragon.
- On February Pondlife announced that the Crazy Frog would be released
as a single, the track is called "Ring Ding Ding"
